Branca Bunús takes part in Bio Shanghai Week 2026 and the Ireland-China Life Sciences Partnership Forum
We were delighted to take part in Bio Shanghai Week 2026 and the Ireland-China Life Sciences Partnership Forum 2026, organised by Enterprise Ireland China in collaboration with IDA Ireland. It was a pleasure to join fellow Irish life sciences companies Smurfit Westrock and Adherence & Clinicals, and the wider Ireland-China life sciences community, for a valuable exchange on innovation, collaboration and opportunities across both markets.
Our CEO, Dr Hongyun Tai, PhD, presented Branca Bunús’ technology platform for non-viral gene delivery and transfection, with a particular focus on our polymer-based delivery technologies for the development and manufacturing of cell and gene therapies. We were also honoured to welcome David Murphy, Consul General of Ireland in Shanghai, who delivered the opening remarks, alongside Tadhg O’Callaghan and the Enterprise Ireland China team.
We believe that meaningful international collaboration can accelerate the development and translation of innovative technologies in the life sciences. China and Ireland each bring complementary strengths across research, clinical development, biomanufacturing and the broader life sciences ecosystem, creating exciting opportunities for collaboration.
A sincere thank you to Enterprise Ireland China, IDA Ireland and all those who contributed to making the forum a success. We look forward to continuing to build connections and explore opportunities for collaboration across Ireland, China and the global cell and gene therapy community.
